My artist in the city triptych is inspired by Shepard Fairey’s Obama Hope and Castle in the Pyrenees by Rene Magritte. In the artist panel, I wanted to use the propaganda look to make myself look propaganda like, and Mondrian to show how my mind is spaced out and balanced. My artist in the city shows how the environment affects me, such as a negative environment and how it makes me more positive and vice versa. The last panel is my mind, or brain, and each tentacle attached to it are memories that make me who I am today. A struggle I had was the tentacle part on my city in the artist, and a success I had was painting the detailed blended brain.
